Toby Carvery - Wickford

Poor greeting on arrival and a lack of any kind of explanation or direction unfortunately set things off in the wrong direction. Happily a nice waitress and excellent food saved our visit.....just ! I don't understand why a restaurant would assume you know what to do when ordering, queuing for and collecting your own food. We weren't even told there would be a waitress coming over. What a pity. Kudos to the guys serving the food with good manners and efficiently. Just a shame the front of house can't keep up !

Very busy place. Large car park, well run, good helpful staff. Food was great, husband commented on how amazing the Yorkshire puddings were, and he's from Yorkshire! They must have been phenomenal!

We made a reservation for breakfast at Wonder and had a delightful experience. The food was constantly replenished and the staff interacted well with all the children, even offering to paint their faces if they wanted. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you.

The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. The menu has a large selection and I have no complaints. We usually order the carvery, but there are many options to choose from. They offer at least 4 different types of meat with the carvery and also have a vegetarian option. They also serve good Guinness. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot with plenty of spots and outdoor seating for drinks during the summer. I will definitely be back soon.

Was no longer in the carvery for many years, so was easy to feel tbh. he planned a long wait, but there was no one at all. there was a great selection of meat and vegetables. I had bark pork that both were excellent. truthahn and gammon were the other choices. regular parts were in order, but I went for the larger option for a few extra. there was a large selection of sauces to supplement the various meats. the whole veg was cooked well. sweets were also very good! there is no automatic service fee, but I was happy to leave a tipp as we were not rushed and the service was very good.
