Varsi Deli - Whitestone

I stayed for a while for this review because it's a hidden gem. But I can no longer contain my love for this place. Varsi is amazing. The staff is friendly, owner is great and best of all, their food is fantastic. I've been coming to this place for almost 4 years 3-4 times a week and I've never seen the store empty. Products move quickly and are always fresh. I always said there are 10,000 places to get a sandwich in NYC. What distinguishes this place from others is their bread! It really does the sandwich. Your bread is so good. Every sandwich on the bread is worth every moment they can have. Some other amazing offers are their chicken stable, stuffed paprika, potato salad, dried/fresh sausage, their meatballs(I think served only on Thursday), roast pork (also a special one once a week). I could go on. All I've tried is fantastic, which brings me to why I decided to write this review. You have recently added a new item to the menu. If I tell you this chicken sandwich hits Chick-Fil-A, I mean it sincerely. It's Chick-A-Varsi. Hands down my favorite chicken sandwich. I'm so happy to have this chicken sandwich so close to where I work, but I'd drive for an hour or more! That's good. And for $7, it feels like you get it for a steal. The chicken is perfectly juicy. All components work together so well and it is perfected. The sauce they use with the sandwich really takes it over the top. If you are within an hour of this place, fall all you do and go, get a NOW! Finally, I cannot speak much about this place. Get out to Mario, Georgie, James and Dino. Stop the good work.

A traditional salumery in Whitestone. It's worth waiting when there's a line. This place makes its own pasta and ravioli. The sandwiches are amazing. They are made with love.

Love it! ALTER SCHOOL DELI, you beat the KOLDEN KUTZ. GREEN, RICE BALLS, ROASTED PEPPERS, HOME MADE SAUSAGE AND DAILY SPEZIALS. FROZEN PASTAS AND SAUCE AS WELL. ITALIAN SPECIALTY ITEMS TOO. We have new millennia from here. ALWAYS AWESOME.

This is a jewel in our neighborhood. I love their olives so fresh and tasty if you love different olives. They carry pastries and many products that you cannot get in a supermarket. Big people, too.

Varsi deli is great we have been going there for years. They have a lot of products made on site. Their sauce is very good their cheese ravioli is the best.
