Cranberry Bistro - Whitehorse

After a day of hiking and exploring for dinner. A great, delicious, unfussy and hearty meal. The fried fish was salmon (sometimes I didn't try) – excellent. Baked chicken was excellent with Elchgravur. There were enough potatoes to feed a small army. The decor is very rustic and funny. I think this is a great place to enjoy in Whitehorse!

In the late afternoon held and warmly welcomed by the hostess. She immediately offered me a table on the cute terrace, surrounded by flowers and covered by a parasol to keep the sun on a very warm day. The staff was very attentive and gave recommendations. I had the crab cake. You were so delicious! Light, tasteful and accompanied by a light green salad and a delicious drava. I had that simple and was satisfied!!! I also ordered the house with two Ahornlachskewers and their ribs. The accompaniments for the main meal were very well done. A fried beet, creamy potatoes, vegetables, beans and maize breadmuffin. The portions were generous. The salmon was a bit dry for my pleasure, and I couldn't really get a feeling of a maple. The ribs were tender and had a nice taste. A very unique and rewarding place to eat at least once on your trip. I'm back with the crabs!

This is often said to be a must for food when in whitehorse, and with quite good reason. The restaurant is only open for the most important tourist times (i.e. closed for winter). The food is generally quite good to excellent, and they offer a variety of game meat from Yukon animals such as Elch and Bison. You also have some fish options from regional fish such as salmon and halibut from Yukon and Alaska. Good atmosphere, good staff, good food. It's hard to eat wrong with a visit here. The catch is that the restaurant is quite small and can have long waiting times.

Came for lunch. Staff very friendly and got in quickly. Looks like it gets busy. Food is good. Had a BLT wrap and Salmon sandwich. The fries need seasoning and to be honest the salmon piece was pretty small. Everything was adequate but nothing outstanding.

Excellent food. Great portions. Very friendly and attentive host. Cool atmosphere. Seasonal, so we were lucky to visit during our trip. Would eat here without hesitation.
