MBCO - Westmount

I initially planned to rate this restaurant very highly due to the incredible chocolate praline croissant that I tried - it was truly exceptional and the best I've ever had. However, I was disappointed by the high cost of the croissant and felt like I was overcharged during my visit to MBCo. This experience left a negative impression on me, especially since I was in a rush during my short stay in Montreal. I should have checked my change before leaving, but the bill was folded in such a way that I didn't think to do so. My main priority was catching a bus, which added to my frustration.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a quick meal. I highly recommend trying the salad with grilled vegetables or the delicious grilled veggie sandwich on pumpernickel. The food here reminds me of what you would find throughout Europe. The lattes are amazing, but I would suggest skipping the muffins. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to fulfill our special requests for pizzas and salads. The restaurant is now located on Stanley just north of St Catherine St, under the new name Moderne Bakerie and Co following the collapse of the corporate MBCo. It is a cozy place with plenty of outdoor seating, although it is often occupied by smokers.

This restaurant has it all, from omelettes to croissants. I could eat every meal there. The almond croissants, chocolate croissants, and delicious café and espresso are fantastic. There are many options for omelettes with wonderful bread. For lunch, there are plenty of sandwiches and paninis to choose from. While the staff could be more enthusiastic, the delicious food makes up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

This restaurant bakery has a location in Yorkville in Toronto and I am appalled that they only accept cash, and no debit or credit cards. What a major inconvenience, especially since their prices are definitely on the high side, even for Yorkville. The staff...are extremely rude and unapologetic about this massive, archaic and cheap decision not to accept cards. I will never eat there again.

If you want an upscale something the go u go there and get a chicken brie sandwich.
