Daikichi Sushi - West Van Canada

Terrible service for ok sushi. I went at lunch for the lunch special I 'd seen posted outside. Had to ask for tea twice, had to ask for miso which was supposed to come with my meal, rolls took forever and it wasn 't very busy. Also have an allergy and when I asked one question when ordering the server just said I have no idea and made no effort to check anything. Embarrassing service.

Hair in my sushi, gyoza was burnt. Worst sushi in Vancouver. I called back to let them know, said they couldn't get me a new order or my money back for 6 hours. Don't bother.

Was great until recently, don't know what happened maybe a change in ownership. I went for lunch as I usually do and it was quite empty. Waited for 5 minutes for someone to seat me and no one came out so decided to sit down myself. Another 10 minutes passed before someone came out and gave me a menu. The food was the same, good for the price. However the service was really, really terrible. The staff were all the the kitchen talking very loudly, now that's usually fine since I understand its a restaurant. However they aren't even tending to the customers, nor are they talking about the food, I can understand Mandarin so I can hear them loud and clear laughing back there while forgetting they have a job to do. Took forever to wave the server down and to pay my bill and I was glad to be gone. NEVER AGAIN, RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM HERE.

Sushi expert coming in JK (actually this is pretty true considering how many sushi reviews I post). They have a 15 dollar pick three items from a giant menu deal which is fantastic. The service was good, it was a white dude (dont see that too often to be honest). The quality is where it gets bad unfortunately. The tuna was literally frozen. The salmon didnt taste exactly fresh. I guess when you trade quality for cheapness that's what you get. Don't expect unbelievable sushi but do expect value.
