State Road - West Tisbury

People who live or stay Up Island know about this gem and its sister restaurant, Beach Road. State Road is an excellent dining experience the restaurant itself is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is consistently exceptional. Duringrecent visits we have had the duck, the cod, the striped bass, and the burger. I would highly recommend all of them. The wineand champagne list is not long, but there are very good selections and something for everyone. Enjoy!

The Mediterranean flavors compliment the local, fresh seafood so beautifully. The use of nuts and unique fruits to elevate flavor was so impressive. Every single purée hit the mark adding so much to the already exquisite dishes. The monkfish withthe brown butter carrot purée was an absolute delight light and full of flavor. I couldn't decide what to try so I almost gotit all and was deeply impressed and pleased with the beauty of each plate. This chef knows what he's doing.

Long time in the state road to dinner and brunch. new cook and new menu. the dinner was very inspiring. tasteless black ink splashes buns, and fat brisket short ribs. back to brunch, but all the old favorites were taken from the menu. it is not particularly interesting to decide. do not go back until there is a new menu and another culinary approach. as always the service was excellent.

We had a nice dinner the last night before State Road closed for a break. The fire was crackling, everyone seemed to be in high spirits, and dinner was delicious.

Food was really good and well prepared. Service was also very good. It was a bit loud , that was the only slight negative aspect of the meal. Nice fireplace atmosphere.
