Awful meal, went straight in the bin, curry like water, chips were old and hair in food. Waste of money. Absolutely disgusting.

Me and my partner have been getting our Chinese from new shanghai now for about a year. We have tried many other Chinese’s in lowestoft including the one in corton and golden Phoenix and this tops them both! Their food is always hot, fresh and tasty! It’s never greasy and so flavourful! I rarely leave reviews on here but I had to for these guys as they deserve it! Don’t believe the old reviews, you won’t be disappointed with this Chinese! Big portions and good value for money. If you also like veg spring rolls, they do the best ones I’ve ever tasted! Not the cheap frozen ones that normal Chinese’s do, I’m sure these are home made! Give them a try!! Family run and delivery is always quick! Thankyou new shanghai, we will always return to you!

Unless you've got the jaw of a rottweiller don't bother ordering from here. Last night I ate some food from this place through friends ordering. Not bad, I thought. Nice sweet and sour sauce. F all meat in the Singapore noodles though. Different story tonight. Lemon chicken. ...don't bother. ..so hard I almost broke my teeth. ...clearly been over defrosted in microwave. Secondly. .. lemon chicken should be lemon chicken ...not deep fried leather in a box with a bit of lemon sauce on the side.Beansprouts taste mouldy too. Disgusting. Ring to complain and receive the most disinterested response ever. Friendly delivery staff though. ..

I'm always happy with the food and service here, New Shanghai aren't very expensive and they are always very friendly to deal with and the food is delicious everytime. I've never had a problem with collection or missing food. Brilliant all round 10/10

Must excellent Chinese food. Very good value for money and you get alot of food for your money. Recommended if your in Lowestoft
