Mehran - Washington DC

A restaurant of spices--both in the food and the flair you find surrouding you in conversation all around. Mehran is a restaurant of quaint appearance and sparse decor. Let that not be an omen for the taste of the food, or the warm, embracing style of the food staff. Punjabi meets Somali, Amharic, mingles with Arabic and Farsi, and patrons meets reality when cab drivers and med students negotiate their way in the cramped space for a seat. The food will leave you wondering aloud 'why isn 't this the face of Pakistan? '

Stayed in dc for a week, most of the time we enjoyed lunch and dinner there. Nice place if you are looking Pakistani food with reasonable price in dc. Best thing is buffet lunch with desi environment

They have a good chicken curry and naan...service was ok...small place bt for south asian food nt bad
