I always eat fish and chips here when I visit Southend on Sea Great food, reasonable prices

They have a gluten free batter (which is really light) and seperate fryer for gluten free. Food was really good. First time I ate 'proper' fish and chips in years!

Ordered gluten free cod and chips from here today as my usual shop closer to home was closed due to the corona virus Excellent taste and well cooked. Will definitely go there again. Pity they don't do delivery but was worth the drive into town. I used to buy fish and chips here before going on a gluten free diet, this time it was up to their usual high standard.

Visited Southend on a Sunday and was unable to find Gluten free fish and chips (most places were closed). I saw a google review mentioning gluten free batter and decided to call Van Looy’s. They were very helpful and confirmed they did serve gluten free fish and chips. Great food and great service! Huge portions too!
