Bidrage med feedbackWe arrived for 7.15 and were warned when we arrived there would be a delay as so many had either booked or wandered in at 6.30. They were very apologetic and clearly worried about delays. But really we didn't notice anything and the entrees and main courses were just delicious! We had garlic bread, oysters kilpatrick, King George Whiting, Barramundi and our young teen had the kids' meal of butterfish. Everything was superbly presented and just melt in your mouth!The decor was delightful and the service lovely. We recommend coming here for a special meal or just a lovely night out!
We were enticed by all the tourist blurbs and decided to have our end of holiday meal here but we were disappointed with the limited seafood on the menu for a restaurant called Inland Sea which is only minutes from the sea! I had baked flounder and hubby had battered whiting with chips and salad. Chips were average. Both fishes were nice but meals were more like pub meals than fine dining. Service was good and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. Sorry, but we won't go there again.
Where do I start?? Visited the Restaurant for an Evening Meal in April 2017. We had Booked a Week earlier as the Brochures advised. No real need to have Booked as the place was completely devoid of Customers. So with all Tables to pick from we were seated next to a large fish tank, which should have been nice. Tank was green and contained Goldfish, one of which was deceased and had been for some time. Waitress was nice and friendly. We ordered Garlic Bread and Scallop Florentine to share (two people). There was supposed to be 6 Scallops in their shells. I expected plump fresh Scallops, I got frozen processed supermarket Scallops. If that was not bad enough they had been sliced in half, resulting in six ten cent pieces in someone elses shell, certainly not their own (a rip off at $18). They were covered in what I can only think was Coon Cheese. The Garlic Bread had unfortunately missed out on touching any Garlic. For Mains, I had Baked Flounder and my Partner had Surf & Turf. Again the Flounder was not fresh and very small. It was hopelessly over cooked and covered in pepper (why??). My Partner asked for her Steak to be medium/rare, leaning more towards rare. It was a strange cut of Steak, very tough and gristly. It had not been rested, resulting in the plate swimming with blood. A very disappointing experience after all the hype of the Brochure and the Guy wandering around the Restaurant pretending he worked at the Ritz. Not a cheap meal by any standard. I think the Waitress was a little embarrassed at the quality offered when she asked how our meal was. I was polite but really? Friday Night and empty, I don't think she will need to work there much longer, it can't last with such poor Management. Recommend that the place is avoided, at least until there is new Management and a new Chef.
I was really looking forward to dining here, wait staff were friendly and helpful.I had the garlic bread and hubby had the garlic prawns entree, where was the garlic?Wait times were long, luckily we were with friends and had good company to pass the time.For main surf and turf, steak cooked well and medium as requested,lots of seafood but disappointed with the sauce it was bland, overall a average meal but was expecting more.
Booked by friends as they have regularly eaten there. The good point is the seafood which is excellent. However the service on the night we attended was nothing short of shambolic. Waited an hour and a half for entrees and then a further hour for mains. We had one person who hadn't ordered an entrée meaning she sat there for 2 and a half hours before receiving any food! This was repeated for all tables and one actually got up after their entrees and left - should have done the same. A good restaurant would have offered some sort of apology but there was nothing. Only when we raised the issue was there some sort of recognition stating that the chef was new but still no apology. The great food was ruined by the lack of service and speed of delivery. Will never return.
