Warkworth House

High quality cuisine in Warkworth. The vegetarian menu offers five vegan main dishes, all prepared to an exceptional standard. Wines are labeled to indicate if they are vegan or vegetarian-friendly.

We enjoyed our meals at Warkworth House Hotel so much that we returned a few days later. The service was outstanding, with friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant has several dining rooms that are very spacious (we visited during Covid-19 restrictions and felt very safe). There were multiple vegan options available (approximately 4 main courses), and we chose one that we loved so much, we ordered it again on our second visit. For dessert, we had the choice of a chocolate and orange tart or sorbet. The vegan chocolate tart was so delicious that we ordered it again on our second visit. For non-vegetarians, the chicken and fish dishes were also excellent. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time. (Review updated on 2020-08-29)

The restaurant offers a variety of vegan options, such as a cheeseburger, curry, and a cake. The portion sizes were good, and I was impressed that the wine list was labeled for vegans as well.
