The Boat - Walsall

We visited on Father's Day for Sunday lunch. The menu was a tasting menu and every dish was fantastic. The service was welcoming and fast, and the ambience and setting were delightful. There was a pleasant outdoor area with plenty of covered seating and comfortable chairs. It was also nice to see the micro farm on site. We will definitely return as the food and ingredients were of exceptional quality.

If you have not yet dined at The Boat, I highly recommend making a reservation as soon as possible! The dining experience at this restaurant is truly fantastic, with flavors and textures that can compete with those of many top restaurants in London. The Boat is definitely deserving of a Michelin star. I must also give a shoutout to the exceptional young team working there. During our first visit, we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Every course was outstanding from beginning to end. It was also a pleasure to sample some local wines from the Pattingham Vineyard near Wolverhampton, with the sparkling wine being a particular standout. The wines were introduced to us by a talented young sommelier. In conclusion, make a reservation at The Boat now! You will not be disappointed.

The tasting menu was delicious, with each course being excellent. The wine pairings were lovely. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Though not inexpensive, it was great value for a special occasion.
