Not all items are eligible for the early bird special pricing, and they charge a mandatory 20% tip on top of the regular price. We ordered a rainbow roll, crab ramen, and the seafood pasta. Food isn't bad, but it's just average. And definitely not worth the original regular menu price. I'd be hard pressed to get them at the early bird price. In fact, had the opportunity to come back again for the early bird special and decided it was not worth it. Place is packed though, so probably should make a reservation, or don't and just skip it.
Love this place! I've never been to this location before, only to Maui. Delicious, will definitely come here again. Our waitress was also wonderful.
Me and my boyfriend went here for a special night to celebrate our anniversary) and let me tell you... Sansei has the best food that comes with the best service !! i would RECOMMEND everyone to come here for special events , a night out or just go for the food and the amazing welcoming feeling from the servers , cooks , hosts and managers ! the entire staff is very lovely and always has a smile ! thank you again sansei for a wonderful night and you'll be seeing me and my boyfriend soon again.
We came for their Early Bird special on Sunday and it was amazing! It was our last day in Waikoloa and if we had found this place earlier we could have eaten here every day! The Early Bird special is 50% off the menu on Sundays and Mondays 4:45-5:30pm but get there to line up by 4:30 at the latest! Their menu is very clear on what is included in the Early Bird pricing and they spell out the Early Bird pricing if it isn't 50% off. The waitress, Ambre, was so welcoming and she gave us the best recommendations on what to order. We listened to her and were not disappointed! Everything she recommended was delicious! The only thing we didn't order was the pork chop and we were kicking ourselves for not ordering it. We started with the edamame and sunomono then the teriyaki beef, ahi, and ravioli. The fried ice cream for dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal. I loved the friendly and bustling environment. It was a memorable meal and a great way to end our time in Waikoloa.
We love this place! The food was stellar, and the service was excellent. Sam was our server and we had a great time chatting and he recommended all his favorites. We will be going back for their happy hour, which they have on Sunday and Monday from 4:45-5:30 only. Half price food! We tried the crab ramen with truffle butter broth, which was soooo perfect I drank the last drops in the bowl! We also had the Holy Cow roll...and it is aptly named, since HOLY COW WAS THAT GOOD! The mango crab hand roll was yummy, too. The restaurant is in the Queens Marketplace, so parking isn't an issue and the place is a good size, so no long waits for a table.
