Pioneer Club - Wabasha

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The walleye was poorly prepared, and I encountered bones in every bite during the first course, which ended up in my napkin. When I tried the second course, I encountered even more bones, so I decided to stop eating. Our waitress asked us how the meal was, and I shared my feedback politely. She mentioned that this sometimes happens. When we went to pay, we were asked again about our experience, and I echoed my previous comments. The male staff member responded with a smile, but it felt insincere. The bill was $21.30, and he said, “Come back!” but I have no intention of returning. The fish was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. Be warned!

I had a terrible experience at the restaurant. The walleye I ordered was really unpleasant. The first fillet was full of bones, which I ended up discarding in my napkin. I tried the second fillet, but it had even more bones, so I gave up. When our waitress asked how the dinner was, I kindly mentioned my issue. She shrugged it off and said that sometimes it happens. When we went to pay, we were asked again about our meal, and I repeated my concerns. The man at the register just smiled and said, "Oh really? That'll be $21.30. Come again!" I will absolutely NOT be returning. The fish was awful, and the customer service was even worse. Beware!
