Bidrage med feedbackFriendly staff and a variety of options for breakfast. I ordered the California Eggs Benedict which is one of my favorites.
This is one of my top places to go for breakfast in Visalia. It's a bit hard to find for the first time as it sits far back from the street entrance, next to a cattle market lot. Yes, live cattle mooing with an occasional cowboy on horseback riding by. Can't get any fresher than that, I said jokingly to my daughter. The food has a homemade touch to it, so I always get biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs or hamburger steak patty. Coffee comes in an insulated pot and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Ask for the homemade blackberry jam to put on a bisquit...hot diggity!
Great family style restaurant that is quaint with robust food and service. This location was recommended to me by my barber. Additionally, he recommended the cheesy potatoes. They did not disappoint. Food was served quickly and the service was excellent. The only negative is not their fault. Their location is not easily located near the street rather they are located further in and away from Ben Maddox. Also, their parking lot is a dirt field and with the recent rains it was interesting finding parking without having to walk over large puddles. However, this should not deter one from experiencing great service and food.
I usually go on weekends between 10:12am. It's very busy during that time. Wait is usually 30min to an hour. For me it's worth the wait. Food is good home cooking to say the least and service is friendly. The eating area is small and somewhat crowded but on the brightside it did appear there was evidence of remodeling going on last time I was there. It's popular with the home town crowd very laid-back. For those from out of town it is close to old livestock auction area. No biggie part of atmosphere!
First time trying this restaurant and I'm impressed. Food is tasty, very grandma/mom home styled. There is a huge selection of choices. The portion is fairly big (i went for late lunch and had some leftovers for dinner).
