Bidrage med feedbackOur five-headed family went early juni to lunch after la guiguette auvergnate. we led the rer to a nearby stop and went about 3 km on its to restaurant. there is another RER stop right next to the restaurant for those who do not want to walk. the lunch was pretty good. the restaurant seemed mainly native and to us to be buried. the host was more than welcoming and even opened the garden for us to have dessert outside. we were treated with the local kir, that was delicious. we have learned about the restaurant in the travel book an hour from paris. description of the walk was not so clear, but we found our way there. the duck was a favorite at our table.
. I had expected all guignettes to have terrible food. I'm sure it wasn't great, but it was good. I had a deré of the pape de Saumon sauce dugéré and it was pretty good. my plate was saint jacques provinçale and I wasn't...safe what was in the sauce – and I wasn't particularly excited about it. we ordered the cheese to dessert. the music consisted of an akkordeon player and a keyboard player and they both sang. I enjoyed the music. it was too cold to sit on the terrace overlooking the water, so we were all inside. we would have enjoyed being outside, but the restaurant was so old-fashioned and authentic that we enjoyed the ambiente. most, if not all people there were native and all spoke French. the authenticated the experience for us. many people danced and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. the bill was 22e. this guignette was the cheapest local guignette I found on the line and we found it a good investment. it was fun and a relaxing way to spend a Sunday. we have brought the rer d there.
I learned about this guinguette auvergnate in the travel book an hour from paris (annabel simms, 2010). with book in the hand I went from the rer d station shortly after 13h 00 and the place was packed. when the owner, Jean-Pierre, saw me at the entrance with the book, he immediately came by, greeted me and found me a nice little table with view of his. despite his full performance, the service was almost instant. on my first trip I decided for the midday buffet, and on this last trip I ordered from the menu their fabulous auvergne sausage, followed by a lush desert that could have filled my body for the whole day. eating here is fantastic. love this place at the weekends in the late spring when the mooses still dance on the terrace. the view of the dancer is like the view back into the time to a frank of the 1950s. do not miss this little corner of the paradies.
I hope to return this summer. visited on a beautiful sunny mother's day a few years ago and had the funst day of our Paris trip. Although Jean-Pierre was fully booked, we found a table and we enjoyed a very reasonable three...course meal with free wine. the place was very modest and everyone has made us feel at home. the dance was a little affected by the amount of wee I consumed, but what a day! super super super super super super super and if they want to come home that they have experienced real paris, they make the wall out of the city.
