Overall it was OK. Hake was tasty, but a little over cooked. Hubby enjoyed his steak. Rice and fries?? One or the other is fine. Nice mixed salad, good wine, beer glasses need replacing, very chipped. Compared to other meals localky, quite average, but nice setting and friendly service
Feels unfair to rate the place, as I tried something I didnt particularly like. Arroz de cabidela, is a rooster stew made from home, free range bird and is considered a delicacy in Portugal. It does take some blood for the flavour and has vinagre to balance the dish. It was a must try, and my husband confirmed that is was delicious and well made. The picture is not the most artistic but gives an idea of hiw the dish looks. The place is nice, they have a variety of other traditional food varieties.
