The Original Mels - Vacaville

I often visit Mel's restaurant. Today, I decided to try the Patty Melt with sweet potato fries. The Patty Melt was delicious as always, but the sweet potato fries were disappointing. They were cooked, but not crispy like they usually are. This has never happened before. I went there at 3:00 and the restaurant wasn't busy, so I was surprised at the poor quality of the fries. I may give Mel's another chance, but this experience was disappointing.

The food was excellent, with generous portions. The service was also good, just what you would expect for a dinner outing.

I enjoyed my experience at Mel in San Francisco. We were looking for traditional American food, but the menu was not what we expected. The highlight of the meal was our waitress, who was extremely friendly and accommodating. Despite the fact that our food was not to our liking, she kindly offered to bring me a different dish. I declined the offer, but appreciated her gesture.

Nice breakfast in a fun 50-dinner atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean and comfortable. The food is fine. My eggs were ordered over hard and was boiled in old oil with Sam butterflies. Coffee is normal coffee. The other side is that all old men, many veterans eat here. I always enjoy seeing old men together and telling big dicks.

Before SF became such a cesspool I used to go to Mel?s on Lombardi pretty regularly. I am so happy there?s a Mel?s in a safer area.
