El Hornito - Uvita

I absolutely love this place. It was recommended to me a few years ago and is now one of my go to places whenever I am in Uvita. The empanadas are just amazing the best I’ve ever tasted!

I’ve never been to Argentina, so I can’t comment on their authenticity. I can comment on the flavor. They were fantastic. Ordered the chard empanada, tons of chard and well seasoned. Also got the cheese and onion, which was equally delicious. My wife and I also split a vegetarian pizza, which was the delectable.

Carne (beef) empanada was muy bien, all of our empanadas were good, but wish I'd have bought more carne. The flavor was so good. I wish they had a fan and served beer, but this place was on point. Food and service were excellent!

During a 3 night stay in Uvita we ate here twice, the first night we tried the Empanadas and they were delicious. On out second visit we tried the pizza and was just as delicious. The pizza is large so we did a half and half. Everyone is really friendly. There is limited spaces to sit down and is popular. I think they also do take away.

Empanadas were extremely good and the Alfajor de Chocolate was amazing too! Great place to eat a quick snack
