Bidrage med feedbackWe went on a weekend for a late breakfast, the restaurant was half full. We asked if the meat breakfast was enough for two people to share and were told that it was, so we ordered it. Just to be sure we also ordered two eggs on toast plus tea. The tea was fine and came out first however 40 minutes after the tea arrived we still didn't get our breakfast. We went up to ask how things were going and got told that it would be another few minutes. Another 15 minutes past before our breakfast arrived; when it did arrive, the meat breakfast was definitely not enough for two people and the eggs on toast were average (it lacked basic spices on the meat and the eggs were not salted; the avocado made us feel unwell). We are not picky with food generally, but for such a simple breakfast order we expected better. If you were super hungry the single "main" course sizes were not enough. All this plus the essentially hour wait time for a basic breakfast in a half full... read more
We came in with quite a large group. The organiser pre-warned some weeks before and we were only allowed to choose three options from the menu; the full spread, the vegan breakfast or the tomato, basil and whipped feta on rye toast - none of which anyone was too excited about. We waited OVER an hour and a half for our meals. I understand we had a large group but the four tables behind us had BEEN and GONE before we even got our meals, and they had been advised of the size of our group at least a fortnight in advance. When we finally got our meals, everyone was generally displeased. I had the tomato, basil and whipped feta on rye toast - average at best, I was still hungry and I had a stomach ache later (whether that was from the meal or the iced coffee). My two friends next to me had the full spread breakfast which included 1 tiny piece of bacon, and one of them had the chorizos forgotten altogether. Everyone else was still hungry after and no one thought their meal was outstanding. Food presentation below average. Multiple complaints to staff. The only two positives - at the end of the meal they deducted our drinks from the total bill due to multiple complaints from our table, the other positive being that (some) staff were friendly and apologetic. Also were quite accomodating to dietary requirements in regards to replacing the whipped feta on the rye toast for one the the girls with smashed avocado at no extra charge. Despite these positives, I will not return again. The menu itself was quite boring and the one thing that spiked my interest, I wasn't allowed as we only could order off a 3 choice menu - which in my opinion is ridiculous. There would be no difference if our tables were split apart whether we ordered what we wanted and I'm sure within the over an hour and a half time frame they had they could've easily accommodated to everyone's preferences off the menu.

A friend and I dined here on a Tuesday morning for breakfast. We sat inside because it was full outside - not surprising when you go to a nice cafe! The service was great. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a friendly waitress who offered us coffee and gave us menus. I ordered the vego breakfast and my friend ordered the fritters with salmon. It took a while for a meals to be served but we werent in a hurry. The food was a huge serving and it was absolutely delicious. It was a little too much food for me (I hate to waste but couldnt eat it all). The plate had loads of different flavours and everything was cooked really well. Thanks for a great breakky - we'll be back!

On top of all this, there were plenty of staff around (so they were not understaffed) and they added a 10% addition to our bill because it was Sunday! We've never seen this before. Two medium size plates with eggs , toast, two tiny sausages and a tea end up costing $40+. Not recommended.
