We went to Cafe Sierra for Christmas. The ostess that checked us in and sat us had an attitude and had no idea what was going on. The Manager stepped in to make things better. The servers were excellent. They need to have the buffet ongoing for the price they are charging. Some chefs/cooks at the various stations seemed like they didn't want to be there. Food was okay. I feel quality has decreased in comparison to past years. We had reservations for 3:15 and were told that that was brunch but we had no idea that was the circumstance. I was led to believe it was the Christmas DINNER when I made my plans. Matt(Manager) made things right but food was not being replenished at the different food stations. I will think twice before going back especially with the steep prices they charge now.
I understand how inflation dj everything, but the price is now $139 perso. as earlier (years ago) maybe $80! Beyond that, there is no more fish-mau soup I loved and no Taco station! they had a sushi handrolled there too, but they're gone. the lobster thermidor is the same, but I remember that they used to give whole muted lobster. will not return.
The quality of the food has really gone downhill. I been coming to Cafe Sierra for almost two decades. The king crab, paella, shark’s fun soup, seafood soup, large raw oysters, and a bunch of other food are gone. The parking used to be complimentary but now it’s only discounted. The service is also not as attentive as in the past. The dining area seems more packed with tables than in previous years. Prices have significantly increased but everything else decreased. Overall, not worth the price. It seems like new management there than in the past. Over $150 per person (plus tips parking), I would expect more!
Excellent Service; I have been a returning customer since 1994!
