I’m go here with my family when I visit Queens! The pizza is amazing and the restaurant food is even better!! The people that work here are so sweet and will give you the best service!

The pizzeria is updated and has all the classics with tables to accommodate approx. 30 people in it's dining room and five tables out front. There is a surcharge to use credit cards, The big wow factor for them sis that they made fried calzone which is a rarity in these health conscious times. Very few places will attempt to make a fried calzone for the extra oil used and preparation time(15-20 minutes). Good food takes time just like fresh oats! If you want fresh oats or food you pay and wait for it! If however you will settle for old oats you wait for the horse to finish digesting them! The service was good and the calzones excellent!

I've only ordered pizza and hero sandwiches from Avellino but have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the cost is very reasonable. They offer a 2 slice pizza and can soda lunch special that's a great deal. It's my go-to spot for a quick, tasty, inexpensive meal.

Avellino's is one of the very best places in Queens for Italian cuisine.
