Reserved ahead, still waited an hour for Sunday roast which was poorly cooked and with only two choices of meat. Seating? You have to play musical chairs to find one that hasn’t fallen apart, floors sticky from beer spillage and deco grungy. Also short changed while paying with a grunted apology. Very disappointed, the Lion really doesn’t deliver.

Very tasty and large portions, child and adult meals. Lovely atmosphere with background music and comfortable seating. A real gem of a place. Friendly staff quick service

Nice pub, nice beer garden although didnt use. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Didnt eat but menu looked good for general meals. (Maybe need to add halloumi burger/wrap type meal for more option for veggies. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Poped in saturday food good people good staff good booked sunday diner 1430 Arrived 1415 2 cokes pints got smaller glasses bar lady picked up lime with fingers and put it in drink Order diner not there had what was left meet wise paid sat on table 30 min asked what was going on asked what we ordered as had no record of it in kichen 5 min later food Cold on plate and burnt all 4 veg in one taurian cold over cooked asked staff to supply hot properly prepared replacments given food back microwaved told no food left eat it or leave it folde knife and fork and money tost onto table with no appoligy left staff said are u shore food cold as plate hot but when returned after microwaved carried plates no trouble will not return 62 worst meal and service ever.

My first visit to the Lion. What a lovely pub. We sat in the outside area at the back for food and drinks. Very tasty food at reasonable prices
