Illa Mae's Restraunt - Trenton

I am from Coatesville, Pennsylvania and stopped at this restaurant. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings, which were well-cooked but had a slightly different flavor. The fish was excellent, but one piece was mushy. The fried chicken was great, the greens were okay, the sweet potato was delicious, and the macaroni and cheese was good. The staff who assisted me were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I was pleased to find a restroom available. The portions were generous and the rice and gravy were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through the area. It is worth the money, even though the server forgot to include utensils in the bag - just an honest mistake.

The restaurant was average at most. The casserole dish I chose was bland and tasteless. I only dined there because of a friend's recommendation. I may give it another chance to see if my experience was just a fluke.

I absolutely love Ila Mae's restaurant. The customer service is amazing, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is peaceful. It's definitely one of my favorite places to eat. I will keep coming back. Thank you to Mr. Amefikas and Ms. Merle for their wonderful hospitality.

Great local spot! American food with an African twist!

I was visiting from Connecticut. When I tell you this food was bussing. I’m thinking about driving back down there with my friends. Everything was amazing. My son who eats nothing was mad I didn’t get more Mac.
