First, this review is for the MI Grille, which is equal to the Baytown Kitchen (name changed in 2015). I am from Texas and has never been in this part of the country; I give a totally unbiased review in the hope of benefiting other travelers and this restaurant. To simply cut directly on the hunt, my wife and I had a wonderful culinary experience here. Our server, Scott, was very friendly and cared for us. I had half roasted chicken, and the taste was perfect. It came on a huge bed of red potatoes and gravy, with Broccoli on the side. My wife had a huge salad with a grilled chicken breast and had a bowl of mac n cheese flavored with buffalo chicken chovies. In summary, our food portions were very large and we could not have enjoyed the meal. The fast service and perfectly matched check-ins to fill our drinks was exactly what you want. We talked to the waiter, and he explained that they have recently turned over the staff, and they really try to focus on customers and do things the right way. I would say that in our case, they far exceeded expectations. The food is usually more diner type of food, so if you are looking to try the latest fantasy recipe from a famous cook, do not go here to expect that. But if you are looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, then don't look very recommended!
