Degani Cafe - Townsville

Six of us thought on Saturday a quick lunch. the place was busy, but not the sewn. we have a table number before ordering and payment on the switch in short order. the first order, a cold wrap, came immediately to .well, a part of it was: the hot chips they should accompany were delivered 20 minutes after eating the wrap. two “Gourmet” toasties came next: tasty enough, but given the srumptious description and the price tag, not really on the brand. After a long break, a person salt pepper calamari was finally served. a vegetarian order was abflogous, with service tried to pass a speck toast for him twice, and the sixth order, another part of calamari, never occurred. the receipts showed that the commands were entered correctly, but the dinge lost in the translation between counter and kitchen. instead of apologising, the personal defensiw and argumentatiw. we decided to reduce our losses almost 90 minutes later and demand two refunds that were made available to grudgingly. we quickly got out, two of us are even more “impact” than disappointed.

Take a quiet corner in the middle of the truppet of shops. good coffee and a nice selection of sweets, also freshly made toasties and other lights. faster friendly service to enjoy a good lunch. consistent.

I decided to grab a quick breakfast, so I ordered scrambled eggs and crispy bacon on toast, without rocket. After paying the waitress, I found a table with my number in hand. When the kitchen staff brought out my order, they asked about the bread type and I requested multi-grain and emphasized crispy bacon. However, when the meal arrived, it came with a pile of rocket which I did not want. I inquired about my crispy bacon, to which the staff member initially claimed that scrambled eggs on toast did not come with bacon. After further explanation, they took the plate back to the kitchen. After a few minutes, they brought back the same dish with crispy bacon this time, but the eggs were cold, the toast was soggy, and the bacon was overly greasy. The overall experience was disappointing. If this is the standard of service and food, I believe this cafe should consider closing down.

My partner and I are regular diners for lunch here when we are shopping at Castletown, as we can always rely on getting a lovely meal here. The service is always fast, friendly and efficient, and the pizza's are to die for.

Had a fantastic lunch here before the circus. Recommend chilli prawn pizza and also the parmi! Amazing service as well. Very impressed
