Bidrage med feedbackWhile our visit in the Jura region we made a reservation at d'tour Gourmand. We had a great dinner! Everything was just great! Good service!
We were staying in one of the family rooms here as a holiday stopover. It 's a lovely place to stay very friendly and low key, with pretty rooms and nice gardens, with a pool and a ping pong table for the kids. The evening meal was lovely a good value fixed price menu, with an impressive amount of the food very locally sourced 'from the farm down the road ', 'from the lady next door ' . Lovely dishes, beautifully presented. The 'tomato tartare ' starter was particularly lovely. They also offered an incredibly good value menu for our children which wasn 't advertised really nice chicken and fish with a gorgeous sauce and amazing chips, with ice cream for pudding. And all four of us got a nice little amuse bouche which was a bonus. Nice local wine too.The kind of country restaurant I remember from holidays in France years ago.
We went there for a midweek lunch as part of a large group. As is customary we were fashionably late having got lost! (Tip. Don't go to Toulouse le Chateau go to FANGY, a nearby hamlet) But as we were booked there was no problem. Two choices of starter and two of main course and four for dessert. 15 Euros and really good food, superbly cooked and presented with a friendly and informative serveuse. There was Pumpkin soup or Poached egg salad as starter, both full of flavour to be followed by Blanquette de veau or roasted Cod. Difficult to fault either. The puddings were great as well. Excellent value for lunch and looks as though it would be a fine place for an evening meal as well.
Very good meal, pleasant room and a pool that reconciled me with the hotel pools. ratio quality overall price exceptional.
A magical place, with a high quality restaurant, very comfortable rooms and a warm welcome. I'm glad I can come back longer to take more time to walk.
