Bidrage med feedbackWas looking for a place to eat with the family, 2 children from 3 and 5 years old were already a bit tired of a hot summer day, so we decided to take first place that looked good and had a good menu. Friendly...Short explained kitchen would begin at 7 but that we already had an aperitive, the kerl was super good to entertain the children. However, the shift changed, and a second waiter began to run around and take over the orders. in the meantime I had read some of the really bad comments here and I get that this guy gets these comments. it seemed, however, that the rest of the staff tried to deal with his bad attitude and even to check whether he had brought the right thing. So they just ignore this one grumpy guy and focus on the lookout, and that was great! overall the prices were super fair, they don't forget the landscape again!
I've been in toulon for two years and this is the best place for morning breakfast. the personal (mostly melvyn) is very nice and efficient with great fast service. brot, a lot of jam and butter, orange juice and coffee. everything for €5.50 (you can. buy a croissant at local brothshop if you need extra. the restaurant is located on the water and I sit for a few hours without urgency to move me. a nice peaceful start to the day. thank you.
Very bad service, the waiters are rude. inappropriate experience, not recomend, they can find cheaper and better place.
€7.50 for a beer. not very friendly. they go to the next. but if they like to be demolished, please stay
The restaurant looked pleasant and similar to many of the others on the quayside.... However, the whole experience was unpleasant, uncomfortable, and upsetting. The two waiters on duty were the rudest waiters we have ever had the displeasure of being served by. One immediately upset...our 4 year old by unnecessarily touching his head in a rude manner as he walked past to another table. Why did that man just bang my head, Mummy? He asked if we were French or English and when we replied English he tutted and walked off. We are perfectly happy and able to order food in restaurants in French, and spoke to him in French, so not sure why, in an international city, us not being French offended him so greatly. He threw the bread at our table and slung the menus at us. He then took over 15 minutes to take our order and was incredibly surly and rude when he did so. He waved his hand at my face to signal for me to stop talking, and walked off in the middle of us ordering our drinks. We felt really uncomfortable and upset, wondering what we had done to upset him so much? Then, too late to escape, we looked at other Trip Advisor reviews.... We were relieved to see that it was nothing personal! The staff are described as rude on many reviews (even to other French reviewers, so it wasnt just that we are English When our food arrived it was again slung down. No offers of sauces etc. My food was tepid at best, and quickly stone cold. The ham was slimy and cheap. The frites were cold. The moules were ok, the pasta also average. We started to notice other disgruntled customers, and the waiters being rude to other customers too. One table of people had to ask for the bill at least four times (that we saw). We also heard the waiters being rude about customers. We desperately wanted to leave but had ordered 2 formule meals so were sort of tied in to stay for dessert. Again, eventually the dessert menu was dumped on our table with no explanation of which were included in the set menus. When we finally got them back to ask them it was like it was such a hassle for them to explain which desserts were included. As if we were the first customers ever to ask such a stupid question! Every interaction with the staff was awkward. I hate confrontations so was meak and mild and felt a bit afraid of their angry attitude. I kept up the Merci beaucoups and sivous plaits and, weirdly, at one point one waiter touched my shoulders lingeringly in such a patronising way. Urgh. When it came to paying, when we asked for the bill, we were told to pay at the bar, which was no problem. However, again this was an awkward exchange, the card snatched from my hand, no pleases, thank yous, bon soirs etc. Cannot stress enough what an unpleasant experience this was, and these two men are definitely in the wrong industry! At least pretend you dont actively despise your customers!!!! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Spend your money somewhere more deserving of your custom!
