Best fried chicken in California. I've been a customer for 4 years , going on 5. Everything is fried fresh to order, guaranteed all of your food will be fresh. The wait is well worth the food.

We went on a night when SNCC was serving tenders w/ fries a biscuit. Everything was really good! Especially the chicken tenders, super crispy cooked perfectly, fresh out of the fryer. We had to wait a few minutes for the chicken too cool down a little. I just wish they would do a night in NELA, I'd be eating at SNCC at least once every couple of weeks. It was definitely worth the 40 minute drive!

I've been seeing this spot on my Instagram timeline for the past couple of years, I finally decided to give this place a try. I'm all for supporting black businesses and I love me some fried chicken. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the food, I purchased two orders (4 pieces of fried chicken mild, collard greens I had to add macaroni cheese because you can't substitute smh), the amount total was $40 (I thought that was expensive considering the fact that it didn't come with a drink, no fries or at-least a side I wanted, once again I had to add on the Mac cheese, I didn't want no damn collard greens). In my head I was like okay this gotta be the best fried chicken on the planet, so if it's worth it than money well spent. The fried chicken was crispy but it tasted like nothing, I didn't taste any type of seasoning or flavor, it was basically plain fried chicken. The macaroni cheese was good but the reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because in one of my Mac cheeses I found some kind of black looking ball inside of the cup. I'll submit the picture, I will not be back. In my opinion for the price it's not worth it.

I HAVE NO REASON TO COOK FRIED CHICKEN AGAIN!!!!! Let me say consistency is key to longevity and this chef has it in spades! I've had meals and sandwiches and have not been disappointed. I don't mind driving to either location when the craving starts. The chicken is tender, juicy, and flavorful, it's fried to perfection yet not greasy. The seasonings are spot on, I couldn't do a better job myself. Chef Shad, I love, love, love your chicken. This isn't your cooked ahead and served to you 30 minutes later, this is fresh cooked fried chicken and anyone who has ever fried chicken knows it takes time. Be patient it's worth the wait.

Standing in line for this delicious chicken was worth the wait. Half a chicken Macaroni and cheese mashed potatoes and gravy homemade biscuit delicious and moist with Honey and butter just like home. Sweet butter pickles and French fries, and to top it off sweet kool-aid .?
