Gyu-kaku Japanese Bbq - Torrance

We have been coming here for more than 10yrs and the service has always been amazing but today it was exceptional! Jarred the host offered to take my sisters crutches to their office so they wouldn’t be in the way while she ate. His responsiveness kindness put a smile on my sisters face. Thank you!!!!

If you have never been please add to your bucket list. We tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. This is primarily a grill your own at your table. The six of us had so much fun. There service was spot on and there everytime we turned around asking if we needed anything. The steak was delicious but I thought our grilled garlic shrimp was the best. Be sure to add garlic fried rice. Biggest hit of the night.

Upon arrival at Gyu Kaku Torrance, we were greeted warmly, and our reservation for 2 people at 12:30pm for the Dine LA menu was promptly confirmed. Shortly after being seated, our server provided us with the menu. However, several items were out of stock/unavailable due to popular demand. The server instructed us how long to cook each meat, which was helpful. The miso soup was a tad bit salty, and the rice was a bit dry, but other than that, it was ok. As it got busier, the service became slower, which is typical. It took awhile for us to get our check after asking. Another worker eventually brought our check, but there was no thank you, no acknowledgement, no words, nothing. Despite these slight issues, the available dishes were delicious and Dine LA experience at GYU Kaku was overall satisfactory.
