Bidrage med feedbackIt was our lucky day when we came across this restaurant, as the food is wonderful, the service excellent and any queries were answered. This included about the wines available. There is an English menu if needed. The kitchen is see through with 4 staff (chefs) doing various dishes. We visited twice and would gladly return if we lived in the city.
Torino's Rural was unusual and a very pleasant surprise to encounter. The physical place was very pleasant (decor was very gentle colors and natural materials with giant elephants on the main wall of the dinning room, the eating areas were divided in two with one area being an adjunct to the bar; pleasant soft yellowish lighting) (the music was jazzy reggae) (staff was courteous and professional). The menu offered varied choices and the food presentation was delightful and best of all the taste was delicious. It was an all around pleasant dining experience. Nice for couples, solo, friends, business, not small children, disciplined older children yes. The bar scene was sophisticated and drinks stylish presented and well made. Regarding the issue of fine dining and value, it really depends on different people, but smaller portions, several portions 10-25 Euros per.
Rural is literally taking over the city: Clothing Shop, Dairy Shop, Pizzeria and this wonderful restaurant. It 's really pretty, and there is an East coast vibe to it. Discreet and warm service but the real star is the food, especially truffles (if you happen to be in Turin in the Autumn). Truffles were the reason why I took my party of 4 (mostly out of towners) to this quiet corner restaurant, bang in the middle of the old town centre. I scored major brownie points just for the location. But the food... We ordered a selection of Piedmontese 'antipasti ' Vitel Tonnè (Vitello Tonnato) is the real star of the crop: thin slices of pink veal covered with a creamy, mayonnaise based sauce that has been flavoured with tuna and capers. It is served chilled or at room temperature and it 's dreamy. A small meat ball tartare, spinach flan and stuffed pepper covered in melted cheese completed the oeurs d 'oeuvres. We then moved to the showpiece: tagliolini seasoned with butter and 10g of heavenly white truffles. Please do not add parmesan cheese as it will cancel out the delicate flavour of freshly harvested white truffles. The dessert was also very good (a selection of goodies from various parts of Piedmont think panna cotta) but truffles were what we came here for. Loved it. I 'll be back.
All around good service, great ambiance and fantastic quality food presented beautifully. Piemontese with a modern twist. Suitable for locals and tourists of all ages!
This is on of the best finds in Turin, highly recommend, you must try the hors d'oeuvres tasting plate along with many of the 1st courses. Very helpful and friendly staff that we're happy to give us recommendations.
