Guruatsu - Tokyo

Their lunch and lunch boxes are always vegan, and most muffins and scones are vegan as well. However, some chocolate items may contain dairy, so be sure to ask the staff when ordering items with chocolate or simply avoid them. We ordered the Good Meal Plate B with soup for 1450 yen (1550 yen on Saturdays and Holidays), but they also offer Meal Plate A without soup for 1340 yen on weekdays (1440 yen on Saturdays and Holidays). The lunch menu changes daily based on seasonal and daily vegetable offerings, which is a highlight of this cafe. The muffins and scones taste even better when heated up, so there is a toaster oven available on the back right side for customers to use. Both Guruatsu and Guruatsu STAND may sometimes be closed for events, so it is recommended to check their Instagram page before visiting. (Updated from previous review on January 22, 2023)

The restaurant offers 20 different flavors, all of which are vegan except for one (white chocolate). The berries with cheese dessert was incredible, I usually don't trust vegan cheese flavors in desserts but this one was more like yogurt. You must try it.

What a great meal and overall experience! We arrived shortly before closing and were offered a special set menu at a discounted price. The staff, particularly the ladies working there, were incredibly kind. We both ordered the vegan set menus, along with organic soy milk lattes and daily vegan muffins. Everything was absolutely delicious! The dishes had a homemade, healthy feel to them, and left us feeling satisfied without feeling weighed down. I highly recommend trying the muffins and the set menu. Additionally, the restaurant has a selection of vegan treats and baking ingredients available for purchase.

It was only take out when I went recently and didn't look like they have eat in options at all. Maybe I'm wrong. All baked goods are vegan! The organic chocolate muffin was decent. I didn't like the rubard yogurt muffin at all. Worth a try if you're nearby.
