The food is delicious. There are multiple bars and dining areas to keep it interesting. Plenty of parking. The crowd is mostly retired but still keeping it lively! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Went back to Billy's for lunch and was extremely disappointed. The prime rib was cold, and the green beans were raw. We told the waiter who kindly brought back new plates with (this time) cooked beans, awful prime rib cuts and overcooked steak fries. WOW! Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it did. How embarrassing to have taken a friend who'd never eaten there before. What happened to Billy's? The food quality has gone right downhill.
Cafeteria quality, steakhouse prices. The service was fine, the building was noisy and both the waitress and runner both barely spoke louder than a church mouse, and we were in the quiet part of the restaurant. I asked if they made the lemonade in-house, was told that they brew it themselves. Tasted like a slightly watered down Minute Maid juice. My dinner was the surf n turf for $27. I got the thinnest slice of prime rib I 've ever been served, along with a dried-out baked potato and unseasoned green beans. Prime rib tasted fine. It also came with gulf shrimp and scallops, both woefully undersized considering the number of pieces (2 scallops, 4 shrimp). Husband had a jumbo serving of stone crab for $70, but it was a medium portion for other restaurants in the area. He also got the pineapple coleslaw, which was decent (more like an essence of pineapple, one chunk in the whole serving). We were underwhelmed to say the least, and now know which friends we can 't get restaurant suggestions from. Save yourself the headache and try another place on the Bay.
Good food great service excellent happy hour/ early meals sitting on the water after an afternoon at the beach. What else could you want.
