Evergreen Eating Emporium

One of my favorite restaurants. They have diverse menu outstanding bar options. Food is always outstanding great service.

Just across from the city park/campground. It was a blessing to have somewhere this nice to walk to on these cold and rainy days, to get something hot and delicious to eat. So much so we visited twice, which as campers we normally don't do. We loved the cozy warm atmosphere. The service is incredible!! Very friendly and attentive wait staff. They don't stand on ceremony as to who's table is who's. Fresh homemade soups, 3 different kinds, with all kinds of add-ons. (Popcorn for the Beer Cheese soup, etc). Fresh fruit in the salad bar, a big plus for me! I hate canned fruit. Greens were fresh, not wilted like you see in some restaurants. All toppings were fresh also. No wilt or dry spots on anything. My DH had the walleye sandwich. Twice in fact, he said it was so good. One of the best he has ever had. He gets fish everywhere we go, and this made the top of his list. I had the Three Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Tuna Melt, both were very very good. Every dish was nicely displayed and portions were good sized.

I have had mixed experiences at Evergreen. The lunch salad bar is quite nice with a good selection of soups and salads. However, the food can come out very slowly when ordering and it is somewhat overpriced.

I was here on a business trip and then went out of their way to accommodate us ... even helped setup decorations for our surprise birthday party. Deserts were yummy too !!

Not very good service, overpriced food, and very meh to terrible food. I would not recommend this place for a dinner out. Lacks a lot of things I would expect for paying their kind of prices.
