View by Sydney - The Rocks

This place has the most stunning balcony with a great view of the harbour bridge! I loved the interior lighting, the way the room was set up, it made a stunning high-time location. eating could have been better, especially for nutritional requirements men, but. the personal and service was excellent.

Terrible services, staff are very rude, especially the Asian girl with long hair, the table number served 7. Eating is ok, but size is stingy only a very small bowl of sweet n fresh rockets for 12 people. pre ordered vegeterian court just a few...tomatoes, some rockets and 1 or 2 kartoffels. the guests were not satisfied with the services. ordered softdrinks wait for 45 minutes, cold water not filled for guests. very disappointed and never come back or refer this restaurant to any other.

Please be warned that my review could be seen as biased (but not as far as I am concerned), as my daughter's wedding reception was held at View by Sydney recently. Drinks and canapes started to be served on the outside verandah at 5.30pm providing...guests with ample opportunity to mix and to catch up in full view of the Bridge and Luna Park whilst there was still plenty of light. The serving staff were polite and hard working. The only point is that, quite often, the more favoured canapes (e.g. tempura prawns) were all gone before they reached certain pockets of people on the verandah. It would be good if they could start their serving at differnt points of the verandah so that every guest has a chance to taste the chef's offerings. Guests numbered about 150, and the tables were set in such a way that there was much space between them, with plenty of room for the band, the MC and the speakers. Catering for a function, food was much better than I expected. For instance, seared scallops was one of the entrees and it was cooked just slightly underdone; no easy task as more often than not they are turned to lumps of rubber in some of the other functions that I attended. Again the waiting staff were attentive and responded to guests' requests promptly. By the time the sun was completely set, the Bridge and Lunca Park were all lit up providing a magical backdrop to the venue. Guests, overseas, interstate and local, loved the outlook. Even our Melbourne friends agreed that there is something about Sydney that Melbourne just could not match !

I booked this hotel for an extended stay in Sydney, and I am so glad that I did! Check-in was smooth, and we were assigned a room on the 8th floor with a breathtaking view of the bridge. The room was clean, spacious, and room service was provided daily. We did not dine at the hotel, as there was a pub nearby that provided good meals. The hotel is conveniently located above a train station, making it easy to explore Sydney. We often walked to the CBD across the bridge, which took about 15 minutes. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant for a special occasion. The staff was very attentive to our family's needs, especially with our little baby. The food was delicious and overall, we had a great time.
