Twisted Catfish

I see this food truck across from my job all of the time. I love seafood, so it seemed like a no-brainer situation. The gentlemen seemed a bit standoffish, until I flashed my beautiful smile and greeted him with glee! I happened to open the app and noticed there was a coupon. Get $15 for $10. I asked if he was honoring it. He said yes and politely waited a few minutes while I made the purchase. I ordered the catfish basket with fries. The first bite had way too much seasoning on it. In all fairness, it was the flattest part of the fish. The batter was super crispy. When I bit into the fish, that portion of the batter just fell off. After a few bites, either my tastebuds adjusted or the seasoning was better on the other parts. I found myself picking the batter off of parts of the fish. The fries were everything! To me, the fries were the best part of the meal. Problem is, the way my weight retention is set up, I don't need to be just eating fries.

If you thought u knew the best catfish in Houston, I respectfully say u were wrong. It's the Twisted Catfish Food Truck. Best Catfish I've ever had, and I'm a 56 year old ex employee of a famous Houston Seafood Restaurant. I've had many catfishes, and u need to try Twisted Catfish! Great hush puppies and waffle fries too! Pow! Get er done!

I was so excited to try this because it looked good. I got the catfish basket, and thought it looked amazing when they handed it to me. When I finally got settled and took a bite, I was like wtf is that?! It was horrible. After a few bites, I realized they messed this perfectly good catfish with lemon pepper! Who does that?! I was utterly disappointed and now I can't get this horrid taste out of my mouth. Please have an option as to whether or not you want that on your fish. I have a wasted plate of food because it was messed up w some abnormal flavor that does not belong on fish! Also, please note that on your menu to save people from this nastiness!

He food was amazing though they could stand to take some time to spice and clean the place up a little. We had lunch there on a Sunday not busy not crowded. We got our food right away it was hot flavorful and large portions. This is definitely somewhere I intend to dine again.

Honestly the best catfish I have ever had. There is nothing on their menu I wouldn't recommend. If I could have them drive by my house at lunch time every day I would. Customer service is fantastic! They also do private events. I will be following them wherever they go. Highly suggest you go find them and create your new addiction.
