Bidrage med feedbackThis used to be our go too for Korean BBQ ,but things have really started going downhill. Our poor server was running a 7 table section so I don’t really blame him for not getting our grilled changed or being slow to get us some items. The new menu is also pretty lacking as it seems like a lot of items are coming in premade. KFC reminded me of KFC nuggets. Think it time to try some of the other BBQs in town. Also if you are going to use a new menu make sure it looks good on phones. New menu has some compatibility issues
Would have been 1 star but because of our amazing server (Kristinia, would recommend sitting in her section... she's very good) it deserved another star. We have been past fans of Gen's since 2018 and we have always loved the food so so very much (which is big coming from my picky appetite). And we have known some good servers along the way. But with our surprise, the place has changed their menus and their taste in food. The salad isn't as good as it was and the same with the japchae. And seriously popcorn chicken replacing the KFC I know I am not the only person who didn't like that switch. However, after tonight I couldn't stay silent... the spicy rice cake (which we get all the time) was not even cooked at all... it was like eating a brick.I am not sure if I will be returning soon but here is my 2 cents. (Maybe if they bring back the good stuff aka the old menu... I might make an appearance). So my advice enter and eat at your own cost.
Korean BBQ with no Korean BBQ sauce. Makes alot of sense. Dope ambiance and that 's about it. Had to wait 30+ minutes, despite the place being mostly empty, just to have rancid and flavorless meats. Hawaiian steak? Terrible. Gen Premium steak? Vile and the fat doesn 't break down when cooking. Beef Belly? Disgusting. The list goes on. Low quality garbage.Sauce options? Soy sauce and hot chili oil. That 's it. Yes. No Teriyaki, No Sweet Sour. Nothing. Despite SOME of these sauces being listed on the menu...the only way to get them is to order a meat option that comes with it already marinated. Oh and again no Korean Bbq sauce at all at gen korean bbq house. If you 're used to places like Gyu-Kaku then run.
The food is great and the atmosphere is fun. If you're looking for a lively place with lots of meat options and decent banchan, definitely recommend it. If you're easily overstimulated by loud environments, this is not going to be your vibe. They're always playing loud music, and birthday announcements are deafening.Vegetarian options: There are very few options for vegetarians and almost no options for vegans
28.99$ adult, quite expensive. We come to this place around 5:30 and have a table after 10min. The meat is good while seafood is not so fresh. Recommend to order meat (pork beef) only. The corn cheese is so tasty ?
