Bidrage med feedbackThere are 2 Michelin-starred restaurants in the small town of Telese Terme. If you wonder which one to choose, let me tell you straight away: it 's the Kresios. We had dinners at the Locanda del Borgo and at Kresios back to back and there was absolutely no comparison. In terms of creativity, menu, service, ambition, Kresios fully deserves its accolades, the Locanda doesn 't. The wine list at Kresios is phenomenal, although absolutely idiosyncratic: you won 't find a single Bordeaux or any new world wine in the list, very few known producers and reference bottles. Instead, it 's a curated collection of hidden gems. On the day of our visit both the chef and the sommelier were absent, but everything was perfect regardless. Relaxed, informal and flawless. Quantity is also correct. The only thing I didn 't get is the name of the menu, Mr.Brown , a reference to the movie Reservoir Dogs . I 'm sure it makes sense in the mind of the chef, but honestly, the connection was lost on me! The menu is not as quirky as the name could suggest.
An impeccable display of cooking talent, restraint, artistry... Flavours and textures were incredible. It was beautiful. Pretty much perfect service (I prefer to not have my glass topped up one or two mouthfuls at a time). An extremely elegant and surprising meal, warm hospitality and I left without feeling overfill, despite the extensive menu. Very, very impressive
Not sure how many courses or tastes) we had. Probably 25 or so. Some absolutely fantastic duck, white truffle bon bon, lobster sandwich, roast chicken) others very good and just one or two not our thing. Courses do come at quite a rate. Dessert ended with around 10 tastes each placed on table. Our only criticism if the wine pouring. Only one mouthful at a time is poured. We must of been topped up 12 times before our wine was finished. That is around 30 ml every pour. Literally one mouthful. Just a bit on constructive criticism. That aside a really great experience. Go!
The best restaurant I've ever done. the kitchen is amazing both in the presentation, in the care of the raw materials and in the genius of the chef. It enters you inside and you are no longer the same and of this I thank all the staff who made us live an unforgettable experience. impeccable service, great professionalism of the sommelier and a special mention to the waiter who served us: a person who loves what he does and is able to communicate dishes like no one. We'll definitely come back. Thank you.
I just didn’t understand it but I’m aware that it’s probably my fault. I found absolutely excessive the spasmodic research of astonishment in the presentations often at the expense of the substance; I did not appreciate the search for ingredients and raw materials not of the territory if not even at km 10,000; I did not share the presence of vegetables out of season and did not find the proper service for a starry restaurant; I did not appreciate the presence in the dark of too particular ingredients such as sea urchins and similar that in my modest opinion can not be inserted in a surprise menu. in two words I didn't like almost nothing and so much less the price and I won't come back. However, I check four balls because I know how difficult this job is, and because if someone more experienced than me has assigned two stars, there will be a reason and I am very sorry I didn't understand it. sin.
