Recess Coffee House Roastery - Syracuse

We sell alot of homes in the university area in Syracuse so we spend alor of time at recess coffee. It's a great coffee shop with the best atmosphere. I love being able to sit outside near all the action. They sell coffee to go and other products as well. Its an experience not just a cup of coffee. We made our first visit in the evening and it was impressive how busy it was. After we got our coffee, we were not surprised by the amount of customers. The coffee was fully flavored without being bitter. The staff we interacted with was friendly and patient to answer questions about their product. We were glad we stopped here.

The light roasts are always fresh and have tried the pasties and treats this time and were not disappointed! The muffin and cookies were great.

Great place, decent coffee, but an espresso drink takes age. No matter how many people work, or how many people are in line, they only seem to have one person with the espresso machine. And after 3 days in a row that comes here, I can certainly say that none of the people who work the espresso machine is ever interested in working efficiently. Today I waited for a drink almost 10 minutes and at that time they only made 2 drinks. I've never been to a café that's so slow.

Beautiful lil cafe with great drinks, sandwiches and small bites. A favorite as a student and 3 years after graduation I still return when I am in Syracuse.
