Set in a heritage building space, it’s nice to see they’ve kept the façade with a nod to Sydney’s historic past. Whilst the Hyatt already has a few bars, including one of our favourites, Zephr, they have opened this new bar, with street frontage to appeal to bar trotters and those in search of good cocktail or two. We must add that this bar serves up what we currently regard as the best cocktails in Sydney and we’re sure this will become the bar on everyone’s lips in no time. They were even recently awarded Sydney’s best new bar at the Hotel awards.
Last night was a discovery of cocktails, cuisines, and countries.<br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ Jackalberry located on the ground floor of the Hyatt has only been open for 3 months and it’s no doubt going to become a Sydney favorite. <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ They celebrate 14 tasty dishes from around the world which are also complemented by 8 carefully crafted cocktails (by Remy) from different parts of the globe. <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ My favorites of the night: <br/ <br/ Dishes:<br/ <br/ sliced butler steak with chimichurri<br/ <br/ Tete De Moine with honeycomb<br/ <br/ Fresh Burrata on garlic toast<br/ <br/ Stuffed pumpkin flowers <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ Cocktails: <br/ <br/ Wormwood<br/ <br/ The Zorba<br/ <br/ 6 sprit Old Fashioned<br/ <br/ Lucullus <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ Pro tip: <br/ Ask Remy for some of his off the menu cocktails. We had a Lemon meringue pie, a 6 spirit Old Fashioned and a Crème Brulee cocktail that were all insane! <br/ <br/
The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring we had the best experience possible. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was cozy, with light music allowing for easy conversation. The cocktails were decent in terms of taste. I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends.
We stopped by for cocktails and dessert. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the woman in white who we believed to be the manager. She went out of her way to find gluten-free options and made sure we had everything we needed. Every restaurant should have a manager like her!
The staff was fantastic! The food was alright, not something I would rush to return for. It's more of a place to enjoy a few expensive cocktails and small bites, rather than a full dinner experience.
