Mumbai - Swansea

This Indian restaurant was a huge disappointment. Despite the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, our experience at Mumbai Restaurant in Swansea was a letdown. The cocktails were tiny, the poppadums were overpriced and only a few chutneys were actually edible. The main courses we ordered, Chicken Pasanda and Handi Chicken, turned out to be the same dish - a buttery chicken curry that lacked the distinct flavor of a Pasanda. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were met with excuses and no offer to rectify the mistake. The food was mediocre at best and we were even charged for the incorrect meal. The service was lacking and we were treated poorly for simply asking for the correct dish. Overall, our experience at Mumbai Restaurant was disappointing and we will not be returning. We recommend trying the Indian restaurant in Mumbles instead. The only positive aspect of our visit was the decor of the restaurant.

We recently had a wonderful family gathering at our local restaurant and enjoyed delicious Indian cuisine. From dishes like Chicken Shaslik to King Prawn Dhansak, everyone in our group loved their meals. Even the 3 year old with us enjoyed her child's meal. The service was top-notch and we will definitely be returning again.

I don't normally leave reviews, however I was very impressed with my delicious meal . The service was promot and very polite. And the decor is very stylish

Our first visit today and what a great meal! Decor was lovely but food was just delicious. We even enjoyed the salad that came with the starters. I had the samosas for starter which were lovely and fresh, my daughter enjoyed the onion baji. The king prawn saag I had for main was so full of flavour with fresh ingredients and lots of prawns. The staff were lovely and friendly too. The restaurant was less than half full at 7.30 on a Friday night which we found odd as it was so good and we will definitely be back!

Haven’t visited this restaurant since before the pandemic, and they had a bad fire. We called in for a takeaway last night and the food was superb. Beautiful flavours and large portions. I had a mushroom masala with saag rice (delicious). My husband had chicken byriani which he also enjoyed. The staff were extremely friendly when we were waiting. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.
