Annex Room Restaurant - Stratford

The menu is excellent, the ambiance is lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The staff is fantastic.

I had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. I ordered the special of the night, which was a strip loin steak served on top of creamy mashed potatoes and accompanied by some seasonal vegetables. It cost $28.95.

I recently revisited this restaurant and unfortunately I have to change my rating from 5 to 2 stars. There are new owners and the staff is good, but the food is just okay.

Have been back and will be back. Staff is great. On last visit tried some of the apps Must try the spring rolls.... Looks like the have increased the wine menu and have great local beers on tap. The burger at lunch was great. This is a must try..place it is off the beaten path in downtown.

This used to be our go-to restaurant in Stratford, but it's been heading downhill for a while. Last year, after a mediocre experience (poor service, little menu choice, overcooked fish), we decided to give it a miss. But sentimentally we came back this year for one more visit. It appears to be under different management (which it needed), but it doesn't seem to be sure of which direction to take. The dinner main courses have an Asian inflection, but they're uninspired and uninspiring; the veal was quite good, the chicken I had was a mistake. The prices are too high for what you get, even by Stratford standards.
