The Magnolia Pancake Haus

My experience was not that great compared to the hype must say. First off, there were gnats and flys hovering over our food throughout our meal, we had to constantly wave them away, one fly even landed on my hashbrowns I had ordered. The food was pretty bland except for the pancakes. I ordered the Magnolia Breakfast. My eggs, has browns, and sausage were completely bland and unseasoned. I’m not sure how a breakfast/brunch restaurant can serve unseasoned eggs, but this one sure was able to do that. The booth we got to sit down had paint scrapped off the sides from the table rubbing against it too much. The booth had scratches down the sides as if someone had scrapped off the paint. The bathrooms were not very clean, and the trashcan was overflowing with paper towels. I was not a fan of this place, ive had better experiences at the original restaurant on the other side of town. Service was okay, but they were busy. In fact, we were forced to use the little children’s glass cups because they were all out bigger ones. If it weren’t for all the gnats and flies, and bland food, I would have probably given a slightly better review.

This is my 3rd time eating brunch here. I added more photos so you can see the food.We have had good waiters the service is also good. I had the Texas peach pecan waffle. It was really good. I would recommend this place even though the wait was a bit long.There are plenty of benches to sit wait both inside outside. Parking: There is plenty of parking.

Everything is amazing at Magnolia. From the staff with their service to all the things on the menu. I’m a frequent visitor and spend most of my weekends grabbing breakfast here. My absolute favorite is corned beef hash and I’ve brought most of my out of town visitors to this location as well due to its ambiance. It’s a must have for all San Antonio visitors. 10/10 will always recommend.
