Lakeside Family - Sterling Heights

Have been coming here for years! I’ve tried other places and nothing compares at all. I love their periogie and potato pancakes and get them every time. Their meat peorogie are by FAR the best I’ve ever tried. Really enjoy the chicken dumpling soup and dill pickle soup and the rye bread.

The cook does not know how to cook an omelette. Only an in experienced cook cooks the ingredients in the egg. Not to mention they were so cheap with the ingredients. Said it came with cheese found none. Had to go three layers in to even find an ingredient. You should be ashamed to have let that out of the kitchen. Husband asked for a side of gravy and after the waitress talked to the kitchen said $5. With how little there omelets are id hate to see what $5 in gravy got you. I sent mine back and should have sent his too. The older lady who checked us out didn't even ask how it was like she didn't even care. Worse place I have EVER BEEN TOO. Take you business and money somewhere else the restaurant is a sorry excuse for a restaurant.

May 2023 came here for lunch on mother's day. Very busy, kitchen was backed up but the staff did a great job. I ordered the polish combo and finished it with a full belly. I would say #1 bigos, #2 lakeside combo and #3 polish combo (picture) are the top meals. My kids ordered grilled cheese but 2 of 3 ordered dill pickle soup. August 2022 brought two of my kids out to dinner. They both had pickle soup and they are under 7. They loved the soup. I ordered the Polish Stew (pictured) and it was awesome. Very good. I am going to be selfish and wish the bowl was bigger. April 2022 came here after church with my 3 daughters and wife. Food was great! Wife and I ordered the Lakeside combo (pictured). Always good and has one of everything. Best polish food in the area! Staff is always great with the family. 4 yr old loves the pickle soup. February 2021 Awesome polish food! You have to try the city chicken.

Being Polish I have very high expectations for there Polish combination platter. It's as close to my Mother's cooking as I've ever had. It was that good I returned the following week and ordered it again. Highly recommend!

When ever I'm in Michigan visiting family or on business I go to Lakeside. This time I brought my son. We came in and were immediately greeted by a very nice young lady named Brooke. She sat us and even laughed at my corny jokes. The food was perfect. I'm from Detroit but I live in San Diego. The food and atmosphere are always something I loom forward to. My aunt turned me on to this place. Ya gotta love family. Great job folks. See you next trip.
