Amici's Taverna - Steger

We will be there tonight around 7 or 7:30 to eat. Have to get my last pasta dish in before you guys close. I've only been able to eat there a few times with my girl friends and I have enjoyed it tremendously.... we are friends with Ron.

Really like this place even though we don't get to frequent often. Always felt welcome and never left hungry. Chefs specials are great and menu is simple yet thorough. Even the kids found something they liked! Last visit won't be my last. Highly recomended!

You will be so happy that you went there. Days after you 'll still be happy. And you 'll want to go again. REAL Italian cuisine. With great people.

We loved it, my husband ordered the fried fish and I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The fish was very meaty and white with a crispy light breading. My chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful with nice roasted peppers and served on crusty fresh bread. My husband ordered the side pasta with tuna gravy and we were pleasantly surprised how close to home it was.

I went once with my family, and that was once too many. They began by greeting us with political flyers, and perhaps our rejection was the cause for the treatment...the beef sandwiches were cold, over cooked and tough. The fries were cold and saggy. The service was slow even though there was only one other couple. The beer was fine.
