St Marys Vaults - Stamford

Have just visited the above for the first time since lockdown. Very disappointed. £4:10 for a pint of IPA. No track and trace either. That is over the top. Then they wonder why people go to Weatherspoons.

This restaurant is adorable, the staff is very friendly, and the drinks are reasonably priced. We stopped in for a relaxing refreshment and had a great time. Be sure to give Gus the crow a head rub for good luck!

Popped in with friends, as this appeared to be the only dog friendly pub in the area. has a round of drinks and coffees and found the pub to be a cosy, old style friendly place. the kids had a few games of pool and the dog was at home here. didn't avail of food so cant comment.

Stopped here for an impromptu lunch. It’s a typical old school pub complete with open fire, traditional bar area and even board games (they operate a light hearted no mobile phones policy, which is really refreshing). The food is great value for the centre of Stamford and good quality too. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that maybe the place is due for a refurb at some point, but otherwise can’t fault this place.

We booked the upstairs for a reunion Rose and the staff really looked after us and provided a delicious buffet. It was great to be back at the Vaults after so many years and good to see it's still a proper, traditional pub with loads of character.
