Hudson Social - Stamford

Nice outdoor brunch spot. Food is good, not great, cocktails are terrific and the variety of flavored mimosas by the carafe are a terrific deal and very tasty.

The pizza is photogenic, but the actual taste reminds me of Trader Joe's frozen pies with plainer crust and fancier toppings. Our margherita had nearly a full top layer of cheese like an NYC-style cheese pie instead of globs of mozzarella. The grated layer of a different variety of cheese (parmesan? pecorino? was a nice touch. I suggest experimenting with the dough recipe.Great music, lighting, and decor.

I had a Caesar salad with grilled salmon on top. It was delicious.

Had a nice Sunday Brunch with friends. Everyone said their food was very good. Only negative was that we didn't have any setups on the table until after our food arrived and the music was extremely loud.

Hudson Social CT is an amazing restaurant that ranks among the best in Stamford. I had the braised short rib and he had the grilled steak with chimichurri, both of which were delicious and cooked to perfection. The triple chocolate cake was just what we needed for dessert! The wait staff was extremely attentive, and the food arrived quickly. I definitely plan on returning!
