La Jarochita - Stafford Township

The portions are very generous and the food is delicious. I enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the nice weather.

Came here for cinco de mayo while in the opposite and was very impressed. I went with the queen who is too big homemade tortillas filled with cheese.

Tamarind jarritos, check. valentina on the table. soft, damped tortillas, check full bowl rice and drill, check. eat baby halfway through mine.

I was looking for a late dinner before the beach for home, pre-partner and I were repeatedly frustrated by long waiting times or exorbitant prices at a half-dutzen happy Cow lists in the beach town. while on the bridge from the city, I found from other online sources la jarochita in the nearby mainland town manahawkin. I am glad that it worked like this, because this restaurant was a great sound. the free chips and molecular (a caliente y picante black bean and an orange, sun-dried tomato concoction) were fresh and good. my burrito vegano, prepared with generous amounts of fresh and slightly boiled mushrooms, bevel, paprika, squash and spinat, was one of the best burritos I ever had. it came with a beautifully prepared and tasty beside salad, spicy black beans and spiced rice. the sitting area in the free has charme and our server could not have been more attentive and helpful despite the late hour. she was very familiar with what went into all the dishes and opposed our nutritional needs.

We normally have a great experience but yesterday was awful. The service was awful and our waitress ignored us about 75% of the time. It was busy so we were very patient. Food was forgotten, meals were held up and sides were never delivered. This is unexcusable when all tables around us had gotten their correct food, ate and left while we waited. We expressed our upsetness and explained each issue, and nothing was done, not even an apology. Very very disappointing as we have been going here since they opened!
