Bidrage med feedbackPopped in here to get a quick bite to eat with the family. I mean it's a Wetherspoons so you kind of know roughly what it's going to be like. First of all the building itself looked very impressive, I don't know the area and I actually thought it was a museum. Anyway once inside it was pretty clean, good range of beers and as always with Wetherspoons, not too pricey. Ordered 4 meals which all came together, were tasty and decent. Beer was good and seemed well kept. Not much else to say. It's no nonsense decent food and drink.
I've been visiting a few wetherspoon pubs for years, some better than others. The Corn Exchange was only that, in 1862 built on the grounds of an old market and rebuilt about 10 years ago by wetherspoon. beer and eat are on the usual wetherspoon standard, but the building....WOW huge and incredibly ornately. it is worth visiting just to see you.
What a beautiful wetherspoons that is. from the moment they come, they would think they had gone to a hotel in a posh. I was in this restaurant when I would take a car for a service and I must say that it is one of the most beautiful in which I was. a beautiful large roaring fire and a lot of seating. the setting is brilliant and I take pleasure in looking at the structure of the place and it is damn good impressive. Eating and drinking served a smile as always in wetherspoons. I will definitely visit this place again...
Good breakfast, nice building. the Covid screens have not been busy everywhere on the square, but rather good turnaround on the eating.
Great location and a beautiful spacious building. parking is a short walk away and to see how this pub is on the first stage, I am sure it has a lift for wheelchair access, but check them be safe. very efficient and fast moving personal means that they do not wait long for the service and the floor team are fast to clear and sanitary tables. I'm sure I'll go back to see bury next.
