Flake Shack - Springvale

I decided to order the trio pack to share between two people, which ended up being too much food. The trio pack included flakes, potato cakes, dim sims, and chips. The chips were not my favorite as they were not as crispy as I have had at other places in the past. I was also disappointed that we were not given the option to have chicken salt instead of regular salt. However, they were still decent. The potato cakes, on the other hand, were a pleasant surprise. They had a light, crispy exterior that was not too oily, and a creamy potato filling. The highlight was the satisfying crunch with each bite. The dim sims were nothing special. The star of the meal was definitely the flake. It was huge, salty, crunchy, and oily - everything you would want from a great piece of fish. Each bite was heavily seasoned and made a satisfying crunch sound. The fish inside the batter was a bit dry, but with the addition of sauce and the oiliness, it was not a big issue. Overall, I enjoyed dining at this restaurant and would definitely return. Next time, I will make sure not to make the mistake of ordering a meal for three to share between two people.

I ordered the trio pack for two, which included three pieces of flake, three potato cakes, two dim sims, and chips. The flake was deliciously crispy, and I also enjoyed the potato cakes and dim sims. The chips were fresh and crispy as well. Overall, this is a great spot for fish and chips.

I am shocked to see the low ratings for this restaurant. In my opinion, this fish and chips shop is quite good. The grilled flake is one of my favorite dishes here, and the fried flake is also delicious. The chips are consistently crispy and well-seasoned.

This fish n chips place has been around for many many years through different owners and it seems the original owners are back Bill.<br/ <br/ Back in the 90s when it was run by Bill and Marie i was just a small kid i used to hop down to this store and grabbed myself a few potato cakes. It has since then gone through a ppl and i decided to drop back down here bc i had heard that Bill was back. <br/ <br/ The potato cakes are delicious. Crunchy, not too much batter. <br/ <br/ I look forward to trying out their other food on the menu.

Great food, chips are nice and crispy and battered fish is on point. Officially our local fish n chip shop due to their great food, consistency and friendly team.
